Our Support Desk is where our clients and community come together to find solutions.
Work and Travel no longer needs the chart that is on top of the seasonal hiring pages:
This chart is also pushing down valuable job fair info that is below it – we’re pointing our Google AdWords ads for the job fairs to this page, so that info needs to be higher. I tried removing the content myself but I believe it is a template change, as it requires at least one line of content.
We’ve discovered that the “Gather” section breaks when there are no events in it. While I can work with Carly going forward to have some more content in this, for the next few weeks, we’ll need a fix in place to ensure the page doesn’t break. Perhaps with some verbiage like “Check back to see our upcoming events”
Jill has requested that we alter the way that the program search works to allow for two things:
-Update the querystring based on searches, allowing back button history functionality and also easy grabbing of URL for sharing
-Hide empty terminology terms on searches
We’ve found that when GPM links are shared on Facebook, they pull random images to go along with the post from parts of the site not necessarily associated with that direct link (i.e. an event page showing a thumbnail from one of the Changemakers bios).
You said there may be a plugin available to fix this or at least only pull images from the page being shared?
We’d like to unpublish the U.S. Internships program on the CCI Greenheart site because it is a low-traffic page for CAP and also might be distracting some users from the other “Educators” programs. You said this might involve a simple template change.
We’ve discovered an issue with the program images on the program landing pages.
Desktop: It seems that the image area near the text (a small strip in the middle) is the only thing that is clickable, rather than the whole image.
Mobile: Only the top half of these same images are clickable on mobile, rather than the full image. We’re seeing this on iPhone and Android.
Chase is reporting that he isn’t able to click on the image over the blog headlines to click through to the blog post – this is only a problem on PC, not Mac. You said you thought this was a template bug.
This page is currently displaying the incorrect form for partner inquiries – it seems to be pulling in a participant inquiry form: https://greenhearttravel.org/about/partner
Jill would like it to sync up with this: https://www.tfaforms.com/322663
Rosie has connected Murray and Tanner to figure out next steps to ensuring that inquires from this form filter properly in Salesforce: https://www.cci-exchange.com/participants/short-term-cultural-exchange/esl-summer-camp/apply/
Once that is solved, we’d like the ability to hide this field (a template change) because editorially we feel the radio button/date/location field at the top is unnecessary given that the camp is only located in one place.
Our Storyform days are DONE :) We’ve decided that we’d like to move ahead with Aesop Story Engine. They have a wide variety of themes that you pay a one-time cost for and the plugin itself is free. They’ve got great ratings and their showcase of what projects people have made with it are impressive.
Here is where we can download the plugin:
If you install the plugin I can download the theme we want. Thanks!
