In reply-to comments on the GHT blog posts are not appearing on the site – they are in the backend. I asked Jill if she had made comments directly from the blog, or in the dashboard, waiting to hear back. Unfortunately I can’t test this on staging because I can’t login (See other ticket :)
Not sure if this has anything to do with it but I noticed that we need to “upgrade the Disqus comments” > “You need to upgrade your database to continue.”
We’ve removed Disqus ( after finding no viable way to sync the missing comments ) and installed Epoch ( this is a simpler, faster loading comment system, which does have some nice add-ons and it 100% native – no syncing.. ).
Please take a look at the staging site and try it out – if this looks good, we could push this back to production asap:
The commenting system had been disabled – perhaps because it required a DB update – we’re run this now and re-enabled the plugin – display seems correct, please confirm if the missing comments are now showing:
