Just received the same email and DO NOT sign in to your account via the link provided. It’s a scam to collect your user name and password. Just got off the phone with GoDaddy.

I used the “Fourteen Extended” plugin to get more customization of that theme..

In the screenshots ,you can see that all pages are displayed (even though the “featured” tag was not given)

Here is the screenshots

This Is how I changed from "posts" to "pages"

In reply to: Save the set of field

The solution would be php – not jQuery – and you would need to save the selected fields to an option in the database ( ideally if the user had checked an option asking to save the fields ) – then when you reload the export page, check for the saved option and pre-select the fields based on the data.

UPDATE:

The edits required to create this functionality would be best made to the main plugin, trying to achieve this via via filters and jQuery would be too long-winded.

Adding an option to save the settings would be simple enough – you would simply need to create an array of each group of fields ( usermeta, buddypress, etc.. ) and save those using update_option before the export spits out a file ( before line 354 ).

Applying the saved data will not be too complex either – just load it up ( still broken into sections ) and for each multiselect check if there is something saved and see if a matched field is found – if yes, select it.

In practise it’s about 4 hours work and I don’t have time in my schedule at the moment to fit that in.. perhaps in June..

The error message from PHP tells you that in your theme functions.php file on line 449 – there is some html printed which is stopping the page from loading correctly – check the file and comment out correct the problem you find.

Somethings to consider for your site:

a) seek a local experienced developer to do an analysis of your site to research the too many directories question – in the long run this may save lots of time and heartache

b) btw, upload resized images and not originals, probably from your digital camera, to improve page load times. GIMP (a poor man’s Photoshop) is free, works on most platforms and has many tools to work with images/resize/crop/etc.

In your child functions.php add the following function and action hook:

// remove extra child stylesheet ##
add_action( 'wp_enqueue_scripts', 'q_child_remove_styles', 11 );

// remove extra parent stylesheets ##
function q_child_remove_styles() {

    // remove parent style - as Q loads this ##
    wp_dequeue_style( 'twentytwelve-style' );
    wp_deregister_style( 'twentytwelve-style' );

}

I’ve not used the featured content option on 2014 – but reading the codex article I see that it states that if no posts are found with the assigned tag – which default to “Featured” – then sticky posts are displayed instead:

By default, Twenty Fourteen displays any post in the slider or grid with the tag “Featured” attached to it. If no posts have this tag, a sticky post is displayed instead.

Can you give a little more info about how you changed it from posts to pages?

In reply to: sitemap for GHT

HI Nelly,

I’ve added the plugin and configured the few options available – you can view the sitemap here:

http://greenhearttravel.org/sitemap.xml

There is also an option to integrate with webmasters – you can login to view that.

The plugins also has a few “premium” options for a $10 upgrade – we can consider if we need those:

We’ve hidden the date in CSS – the plugin template system is not so flexible – each element that we hide breaks the plugin flow – but we can “hack” things with CSS.
